Well, I first want to start off with. HI, I'm the newest member of RoA, James. I'm glad for Jordy adding me to the site.
For my first post. We all know that Silent Hill has appeared on many consoles. PS, PS2, and the Xbox. But at E3 2006, Konami announced they were making a Silent Hill for the PSP. Silent Hill Origins will be coming out on Halloween.

Well, I'm very glad to introduce myself. I'm James, I'm the newest member of the RoA staff. I'm basically the content provider. Game info, new sig, banners, wallpapers, avatars, etc...
But the real reason I'm here is to provide Silent Hill info for all those 'needy' fan boy, and fan girls

It's true, we totally live. I do apologize for the extremely long hiatus, work and school and so on. Anyway, I've finally managed to do a bit of revamping and content-adding, so hurrah to all. New layout, obviously. Featuring monsters, since I recall complaints that there weren't enough monster-related graphics. There still aren't, but you have a layout now, so deal. Also, it's been brought to my attention that this layout completely falls apart in resolutions higher than 1024 x 768, I apologize, I'm checking to see what I can do about it, but until I can figure something, please bear with me!As for content, there is a bunch of damn cool new fanart (including some nifty fan photography/photomanipulation - you *have* to see those), some new icons, which you may have noticed have been divvied up to cut down on loading time. There's also a couple of new wallpapers - one by me, and one that was kindly donated <3
Also, I've scrapped a few sections. First, had to take the "comments" option off of this blog due to crappy spam. Gomen ne! The links section is gone (couldn't keep up with them, I'm sorry :( that's what directories are for, though), the polls, too, as well as the pointless "images" page. I did keep the dream cast page, though it's been revamped, too (speaking of which, I CANNOT be the only one who sees this:
RIGHT?? *cough* Also, the recs are still there, as well.
I would just like to mention that, due to either closings or absorption into our own network (thanks a lot, B), we are seriously lacking in affiliates. It's very sad.
Finally, after all that, I also come bearing goodies! I was poking around youtube and found some gorgeous piano versions of both Cradle of Forest and Room of Angel - they were so excellent that I ripped them and converted them to mp3 to put on my player. I figured I'd share them here, since they're all made of awesome and shit. They're a little fuzzy/tinny (they were ripped from YouTube, thank you), but the quality is passable. Uploaded to box.net.

Yes, you heard right! An actual update! WOOW! Heheh, anyway, this one contains mostly new icons, from SH2, 3, 4, and Origins, though there is some new SH3 and movie-inspired fanart, as well as a lovely new donated wallpaper! I also updated the fanlisting links in the links section, so huzzah.If you pay any attention to the icons at all, you'll notice the style is somewhat different than usual, which you can blame fully and completely on livejournal, and all their nifty icon tutorials. You can also blame it on my being a trendwhore. You can also freely blame the less-than-serious icons on my totally retarded sense of humor. I'm still compiling a resources list for the icons, so please bear with me, random brush/texture-maker who will probably never see this post. I swear I credit! So...mmyes. That seems to be it.
Oh! Also, since I'm, y'know, such a nice person, I also come bearing ripped audio! Here's the new unnamed Silent Hill Origins song, featured in one of the newer Origins trailers, and sung by the much-loved *cough*shamelessplug*cough* Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Download it here, and let me know if it expires and you want it re-uploaded. :)
